New Construction Condominiums
FITTING IN AND ENHANCING THE NEIGHBORHOOD: Made of brick construction, three new condos were designed with interest in utilizing and bringing in natural light, and creating an efficient and comfortably eligant use of space for the site and the interiors of each unit within the constraints of a city lot. / New Construction Condominiums
1350 / 1360 N. Lake Shore Drive
SOPHISTICATED RENEWAL: This computer generated rendering depicts one component of our renovation designs for updating the amenities and image of a pair of 1959 vintage Lake Shore Drive apartment buildings. Our concept incleded providing a better desgination of Entry, a new Lobby incorporating a custom element such as a new wood focal wall, a new doorman space, and a new monumental stair. The new stair would allow a new view of Lake Michigan on the way up to the Rental Offices, while achieving better circulation for the Residents use, as well as, the Commercial clientele that utilizes the on-site convenience store, all were achieved with this initial drawing. / 1350 / 1360 N. ASID SHOWCASE HOME FOR INFANT CHILDREN WELFARE
SENSE OF PLACE: This small area off of the Kitchen and Butler's Pantry of a 1929 vintage home in Oak Park, which was designed to serve as a spot to enjoy the lovely garden, to plan projects and enjoy a read of a favorite book. Special, new lighting was installed, along with a new stainless steel stove hood, a new color pallette, Anaglypta wallcovering for adding an appropriate chair rail and wainscot. We used local antiques and other shops for art and accesories and brought in custom furniture and oriental rugs while staying within our limited budget. / ASID SHOWCASE HOME FOR INFANT CHILDREN WELFARE
KITCHEN BREAKFAST AREA
SHOWCASE HOME: For this 1929 vintage English Manor Style home, incorporating new lighting along with a selection of handcrafted accessories, furntiure with texture, handglazed ceramic placesettings, English, German & Asian antiques, and an enviting color palette that was neutral, yet, warm with a few gold highlights. This small area of the Kitchen was customized to show a link between the architecture and the interiors of homes of this era with European, as well as, Asian designs. / KITCHEN BREAKFAST AREA
