After Monica received her BBA for International trade, she worked as Manager of Vicunha Trading – Textiles company in Sao Paulo, Brazil. She came to South Florida in 1990 and started to pursue her career in Interior Design graduating from the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale 2000. Monica began her career specializing in space planning, color and furniture selection, working in the development and furnishings of the Alvin Sherman Library and Research at NSU, City of Parkland Library, Harley Davidson stores and the Cardiology Associates offices at the Holy Cross Hospital in Fort Lauderdale. Since 1998 she had been working in several residential projects,remodels and turn key projects. Monica was awarded a space in the Designers’ Show House 2007 and expanded that role to be the construction coordinator for that home. For the Designers’ Show House 2008, she design a space in each of the homes and was the Project Manager. Her philosophy is to achieve function without sacrificing beauty. She believes that the foundation for any good design begins with client collaboration and continues to the completion of the project. Client wishes, color, space, scale, comunication and management are combined towards great final results and happy clients.
