About
Owner and president, Amanda Maier, has always been fascinated by interior spaces and their ability to directly affect the experience and state of mind of their inhabitants. Before beginning her professional career in interior design, Amanda’s adventurous spirit led her to travel the country and the globe. She still travels frequently, experiencing new regions and cultures, where she not only scouts out new and interesting finds for clients, but the most priceless thing she brings back is inspiration. Through this avenue, she gains multifaceted experiences with people and places, which influence her broad and well articulated design aesthetic. Amanda holds a Bachelor of Science degree in interior design and is a *professional member of the American Society of Interior Designers, with over 10 years of professional experience. She currently serves on the PA East chapter board as President Elect for 2012-2013, and has previously served a 2 year term as Membership Director. Amanda is committed to excellence in all things, particularly design, and treats each project as if it were her own space. Warm and approachable, Amanda finds joy in the happiness of her satisfied clients and has a long list of them to attest to her character and design expertise. In addition, all designers at Amanda Maier Design hold a bachelor's degree in interior design and have a minimum of 5 years experience. *NCIDQ Certificate #24662
Services Offered
Amanda Maier Design is a full service interior design firm, which means that we take the blank slate of a new construction project or the design challenges in a renovation from the preliminary design concepts through to final completion. We only work with the best tradespeople, craftsman and artisans, who share our level of excellence and attention to detail. We are entrusted with the design of the place you call home (or business,) and we take that very seriously. You are making a big investment, which requires trust and commitment, and we are committed to the success of your projects and making sure you are happy with the results. "Full Service" also means in addition to selecting and procuring furniture, fabrics, lighting, accessories and art, it is a total package. We think of everything, because we are thinking of and for you. It also means we do everything from laying out kitchens and baths, designing intricate architectural details, fireplaces, stairs, and custom cabinetry to designing window treatments, the selection of cool and interesting materials, design of custom furniture, lighting and plumbing fixtures. If we can dream it up, we really can make just about anything a reality. We create. We do all the fun stuff with you...going over all our big ideas, (yours too!) drawings, material samples and images, getting the go-ahead from you at critical points in the project. Then we take care of all the steps in getting it done, right. And we always keep you in the loop with updates.

Tuscan Inspired Master Suite
This Tuscan inspired master suite exudes warmth through its soft and rich textures and materials. French plastered walls and ceiling lend a burnished old world backdrop to the cherry and mahogany woods in the room. Custom mahogany cornices house romantic flowing silk drapery panels that add to the inviting and relaxing atmosphere. / Tuscan Inspired Master Suite
Center City Penthouse Living Room
This new spacious and uniquely shaped condo in a former factory building in downtown Philadelphia posed some interesting design challenges that resulted in a casually luxurious and comfortable urban dwelling. The spaces are equally conducive to relaxing or entertaining; warmth and thoughtful touches are woven throughout so that this new modern space feels like home. From the amber, bronze and green color palette, to incorporating beautiful woods, metal accents and naturalistic fibers and colors, the spaces are modern, with some unexpected elements. A five million year old fossil used as a table top in the foyer hangs out under a grouping of tree ring mirrors. A pair of Z night tables by Helman Chang in the master bedroom are mirror images of each other, carved out of solid walnut. / Center City Penthouse Living Room
European Style Bath
This gorgeous European style bath exemplifies strong lines, a smart efficient layout and gleaming finishes. Rainforest green marble is reminiscent of its very name, calling to mind the rich and earthy hues of the jungle. The mix of smooth and sandblasted citron glass mosaic in the shower pulls out the bright green hues in the marble, creating a beautiful canvas for the polished chrome plumbing fixtures. A linear drain was used in the curbless open shower design, allowing the fractal nature of the marble to flow from the main bath area into the shower with no interruption. / European Style Bath
Penthouse Rooftop Deck
The rooftop of a Center City Penthouse was transformed from a concrete slab into a flowing outdoor living space complete with intimate comfy seating, hot tub, and outdoor TV. TimberTech Earthwood decking material was using in this custom layout which features a raised hot tub level reached by a set of curving steps. This gentle arch is repeated in a beautiful curved sofa by Brown Jordan along with two matching club chairs. Perimeter up-lights recessed into the deck create a soft glow for evening entertaining; allowing the lights from the surrounding skyline to be a glittering backdrop. / Penthouse Rooftop Deck
Sleek Wetbar
Wetbar with custom vanity and drawers features a concrete integrated sink that has a curved basin flowing down to a hidden linear drain at the other end. With the plumbing concealed; it floats above the bamboo floors; the drawers are in a gray oak finish. The gently arching faucet in polished chrome becomes functional sculpture on the glass and slate tile backdrop. / Sleek Wetbar
Zen Powder Room
Dark bronze fixtures and natural woven wallcovering create balance in this Zen powderoom. The custom vanity in Zebrawood floats above the concrete tile floor. Capped in black galaxy granite, its gold flecks compliment the softly shaped bronze vessel that sits atop it. Stones imbedded in a channel across the back wall form the backsplash, highlighting the wall mounted bronze faucet. LEDs illuminate from behind the mirror and under the vanity; giving an ethereal glow to the space. / Zen Powder Room
Warm Custom Cherry and Burled Maple Kitchen
This is a fully equipped gourmet kitchen with fully custom cherry cabinetry with burled maple accents. A uniquely shaped center island with built-in chopping block engages the cooks with guests, around it's curving bar top edge. The richness of the finishes continues on the floor, a checked pattern cork, creating comfort underfoot. / Warm Custom Cherry and Burled Maple Kitchen
Award Winning Spa Bath
Natural elements in this award winning spa bath help give the space a casual yet elegant feel. The curving lines of the custom vanity play against the clean straight volume of the semi-floating glass shower. One wall of the glass shower showcases the gleaming shower fittings; the exposed plumbing attaches to the glass side wall and appears to float as well. The curb-less design also allows for a seamless look and ease of use. / Award Winning Spa Bath
Elegant Stone Foyer
A formerly unused open air stone porch was enclosed to create an elegant foyer. Custom mahogany windows with wainscoting below now fill the stone arches, creating a wonderful usable space. Reclaimed beams were used in the design of the ceiling layout, accented with a patterned wallcovering, complimenting the manor style home. The bronze framed mirror reflects the custom stained glass design of the magnificent door surround. Sunlight streams through the colored glass, creating a dramatic and warm effect. In the evening, the interior lights create a beautiful colorful glow when viewed from the outside. / Elegant Stone Foyer
Award Winning Spa Bath
The semi-floating shower of this award winning bath features one glass wall embedded with amber grasses, which appear to float, adding to the dreamy quality of this bathroom. Below is storage, smartly housed in the area beneath the Caesarstone clad showerseat. The toilet is hidden from view beyond the opposing half wall. / Award Winning Spa Bath
Award Winning Custom Home Builder's Office
This award winning seaside office of a custom homebuilder on the Eastern shore reflects an elegant beachy chic style. The soft color palette, clean white moldings and some rustic details replicates a residential environment and helps the homeowners feel at ease, imagining the carefree lifestyle they anticipate at their future new home. / Award Winning Custom Home Builder's Office
Tuscan Inspired Master Bath
Reclaimed Brazilian Rosewood was transformed into a custom vanity which houses a double wide hammered copper sink. The ward materials are complimented by oil rubbed bronze plumbing fittings and a custom designed swing arm light fixture with milk glass shade hovers above, adding soft flattering light. / Tuscan Inspired Master Bath
Elegant Mod Dining Room
Crystal Chandelier's hover above a trestle farm style dining table. Eames molded plastic dining chairs surround, and classic wainscoting is updated with a modern palette and accented with a dramatically elegant wallcovering. Turquoise and citron accents add a punch, all creating a mix of retro, glam and classic elements that work seamlessly together. / Elegant Mod Dining Room
