Mayda has a Bachelor's degree in Interior Design from the School of Architecture at Florida International University. She is NCIDQ certified, LEED, AP. Certified, and licensed in the State of Florida. Mayda served on the ASID Board of Directors for two years as membership director and is currently a Professional member of ASID. Mayda is the owner of ZB Interiors, Inc. a company that specializes in residential, commercial, space planning, renovations and Computer aided programs (ACAD)

Mayda's design philosophy is simple: First function, then beauty. She enjoys the diversity of styles whether it be in a residential or a commercial project. She believes the process should be as positive as the end result, with rooms that are comfortable and executed with style. Her company services range from initial planning, construction and supervision phase to final implementation.
