Melinda L. Headrick is the owner and principal designer at CHATHAM INTERIORS,INC. She received a bachelor's degree from the University of Vermont, and in 2007 received an interior design degree. She began her design career on the Blackberry Farm Design Team. She worked at other well-known design houses in Knoxville until she decided to open her own firm. At that time, she broke from the tradition of naming a firm after oneself. Rather than having the emphasis on her, it was important that name of her firm represent quality, great beauty, sophistication and sustainability. Chatham, Massachusetts is an enchanting town on Cape Cod, which she has spent much of her life.
