Linda Rae Kernis received her degree in interior design from the Fashion Institute of Technology, NYC. She is a member of both the International Interior Design Association and the American Society of Interior Designers. She has maintained an interior design practice for 29 years. In addition to her residential clientele, her varied background includes creating interiors for dental offices and commercial properties. She selected finishes for the facade, interior lobby and common hallways for a 27,000 square foot medical office building. Linda also selected exterior and interior finishes, as well as floor and wall coverings for a 40,000 square foot project for an architectural firm. She was on the staff of a firm founded by an Interior Design Hall of Fame Member; and a New York firm that designed the interiors of department stores such as B.Altman & Co., Neiman Marcus, FAO Schwarz and Bonwit Teller. Linda takes advantage of continuing education courses and attends trade shows to keep abreast of the industry. Her work has been profiled in Design NJ. She has been featured in Design NJ, Monmouth Health & Life, Inside Central New Jersey, and the News Transcript.

Linda Rae Kernis has made it her goal to create residential interiors that exude warmth, understated elegance and timeless design. Planning functional spaces is a priority. She produces concepts that reflect the clients' personality and interests; and satisfies their needs and desires. Her keen sense of color and flair to coordinate textures, patterns and finishes envelop and embrace the client and the space. They are integrated with her skill to select furnishings that are tasteful and distinctive as well as practical. Adding art and accessories that are unique and well suited for the decor are the finishing touch. Whenever possible, she incorporates existing furnishings and artwork that the clients value as their treasures. She is detail oriented and conscientious. Her clients' interests and helping them avoid costly errors are a priority; therefore she is there every step of the way. Providing new homeowners with a master plan and guiding them in the selection of builders choices have been a relief to those who find this process to be overwhelming. As a person who is passionate about her work, her objective is to create a project with which her clients are totally thrilled.
