ASID Books Third Keynote for Annual Conference

WASHINGTON, D.C. (January 8, 2008) – Former president of Walt Disney Imagineering, Bran Ferren, has joined the list of keynote speakers for the American Society of Interior Designers’ (ASID) annual conference, INTERIORS 08, Mar. 13 – 16, 2008 in New Orleans. Ferren is co-chairman and chief creative officer of Applied Minds, an “invention” company that combines art, design, science, technology and business strategies to help leading companies and government agencies innovate. The company’s client list includes the Walt Disney Company, NASA and General Motors.

Accomplished in the field of design, Ferren is the recipient of three scientific and engineering Academy Awards for his inventions and visual effects. His credits include “Places in the Heart,” “Little Shop of Horrors” and “Star Trek V: The Final Frontier.”

Ferren will address the conference audience on Sunday, Mar. 16 from 9 – 10:15 a.m. He is one of three keynotes scheduled for INTERIORS 08. The complete keynote speaker line-up includes:
