WASHINGTON, D.C. (Sept. 11, 2009) | The American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) is pleased to partner with Nielsen Business Media on design education initiatives this fall, starting with the Hospitality Design (HD) Boutique Exposition and Conference in Miami Beach, Fla., from Sept. 14 – 15, 2009. In an intimate and relaxed setting, HD Boutique hosts the latest products from 700 exhibitors, puts on four networking events and offers education seminars to the 4,000 interior designers, hoteliers, resort operators, architects and restaurateurs in attendance. HD Boutique is presented by Hospitality Design magazine and produced by the Hospitality Design Group, part of Nielsen Business Media, which also produces the Hospitality Design Exposition & Conference (HD Expo) in Las Vegas, May 19 – 21, 2010.

“The Hospitality Design Group has transformed the industry with its dynamic and multifaceted approach to editorial content, product exposition and conference education,” says Rhonda Claytor, ASID director of education. “ASID is thrilled to join them in bringing cutting-edge, solutions-focused information to interior designers throughout the country.”

A participant on the HD Boutique advisory board, ASID is the managing association for the IDCEC (Interior Design Continuing Education Council) accreditation of all continuing education units at the show and helps to identify and recruit interior design speakers for the conference. New this year, ASID also partners to leverage editorial- and conference-based content into e-learning courses, available on demand at later this fall. Information on ASID will be available throughout the HD Boutique show at the ASID Florida South Chapter information table.
