Danville Countryside Cooks Kitchen
Prior to the remodel, this space was very dark, poorly planned and dated. The owners are frequent golfers and spend much of their time traveling, but when home the house is often filled with friends and family. With grand kids and sippy cups to elegant dinners the owners wanted an environment that was both comfortable, yet striking and beautiful, but not too fussy. We accomplished this by using custom painted cabinetry which feels warm and inviting, yet the 'furniture-like' quality and many subtle details add a sense of refinement.
Seating was a challenge before the remodel, so we added a banquette with sturdy fabrics to accommodate the grandchildren yet look polished and a rustic table that will show no wear and tear. The natural lighting in this inviting corner along with the new chandelier is often where you'll find the owner's reading the newspaper, sipping coffee, enjoying a glass of wine and eating. What once was a 'no man's land' is now the heart of the kitchen.
Decked out in all Thermador appliances and multiple cooking and prepping locations, this is a true cook's kitchen and entertainer's delight!
