Master Bath/Bedroom Conversion
This master bathroom is in the space which was a guest bedroom. My clients called me to redesign their master bedroom. The master bedroom backed up to this room with a hall that connected the two bedrooms, one small walk-in closet for her and a master bathroom the same size, 5 ft. x 5 ft. square. I knew their children were grown and had left the house so their bedrooms could be guest bedrooms as needed. I proposed that we turn the guest bedroom into a spacious master bathroom. They jumped at this new opportunity.
She asked that they have two sinks, a walk-in shower, a tub by the window. I commissioned a decorative glass artist from Sacramento to create the new windows by the tub, the shower door, and a new toilet enclosure. All are sandblasted with custom gold hardware and details.
I suggested that an armoir from their bedroom be brought into this space for linen storage. The etched areas of the glass shower door mimics the design of the top of the armoir.
The toilet enclosure (glass wall and door) to the right of the armoire fills the space that was originally his 6 ft. x 2 ft. closet, accessed from the master bathroom. It was walled off and the space opened up to the bathroom. The original master bathroom was turned into a walk-in closet for him.
