Our clients wanted their first home to be a modern space that was both comfortable and pulled together, where coffee tables functioned as footrests, dining tables and work desks.
The palette of the living room, rich chocolates and creamy beiges, was set by the sophisticated side chairs. A crisp ocean blue sofa pops against the neutral palette. Ivory walls extend the lines of the space. A high gloss stripe painted on the walls creates optical excitement, reflecting light at certain angles and disappearing at other angles. Whimsical accessories like the Design Within Reach light box side table and arced lamp help to keep the space fresh. Flor Carpet tiles create a low-maintenance area rug, allowing individual tiles to be replaced if they become damaged.
The dining room is anchored by a large graphic canvas. The colors in the canvas evoke the palette of the living room, but add a punch of orange to spice up the room. The end result is a space that is a unified whole of individually interesting but complementary pieces.
