The open concept, interior floor plan was converted into two bedrooms, 1 bath, a living room and a kitchen. All furniture fabrics in the living room are chintz and have been treated with a vinyl coating for durability at a beach house. Soft colors were added in aqua, mint green and rose.
The Chinese red color scheme and antique Oriental rug in the reception area brings an inviting and warm atmosphere with frosted panel glass for privacy. The lamps were originally antique Cloisonne urns that were turned into lamps.
This two year project features two sections of seating in the living room for entertainment. The entry hall staircase is custom made out of lucite and polished chrome with Blackamores as tall as an average size man (six feet). They are holding antique Chinosierie trays. The tusks were brought back from a hunt in Africa
Passing through the entry is an informal sitting and dining area for smaller gatherings.
The Guest Bedroom has an antique, four poster bed which came from the family estate. The end tables on each side of the bed are mirrored with crystal handles with antique blue lamps imported from China. The antique pictures are made out of pieces of stone and china in a floral design. The skirted table top had an added kidney-shaped glass top to protect the material. Two antique Cloisonne urns were turned into lamps.
