In this award winning kitchen, an old world feeling was achieved without sacrificing any of the modern day conveniences expected in today's kitchens. Between the bricked arches are scenes of Italian vineyards on aged walls. Cabinets are a combination of stained and glazed paint finish with warm granite countertops. A lower area for pastry preparation is topped in marble. Floors are traditional sanini tile with glass insets. Efficient task lighing brightens the work areas and a simple iron chandelier creates ambiance.
A blend of the old and the new created a challenge in this living room. Muted greens and lavenders set the backdrop for an eclectic collection of contemporary art and Chinese accessories. The uncluttered approach shows off the individual pieces without competing with the glorious landscape. Family heirlooms were integrated into the composition and provide additional interest.
The president of this company had deep Texas roots and wanted his conference room to reflect that. The granite on the conference table captures the feel of his ranch and the base of the table incorporates a star for the Lone Star state. Conference chairs were designed in leather with the tailoring of a cowboy shirt. Custom light fixtures also carry over the star theme.
