This nightclub was conceived as a modern interpretation of the Japanese bottle bar. Our design concept was to create different seating "experiences" by varying floor heights and types of seating within the space.
Exotic natural materials honor the unique architecture, providing a textural backdrop for the contemporary furnishings.
Bold drapery frames the view, while woven grasscloth creates a textural backdrop for an antique Chinese credenza that cleverly hides audio-visual equipment. In the foreground, a Tibetan rain drum is repurposed as a side table.
Decorative columns and moldings enhance the traditional design concept while the angled marble fireplace directs your eye to the view through the new bay window.
