Trade Show Management Company, TRIAD, Postpones Feb. 5th Show

WASHINGTON, D.C. (January 23, 2008) – The American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) regrets to inform the public that due to circumstances beyond our control the commercial design conference, IntersectWest, scheduled for February 5 – 7 in Las Vegas will not proceed as scheduled. In its second year, the show was a collaboration between ASID, the Contract Interiors Marketing Association (CIMA) and Metropolis magazine. Today, we were told by the trade show management company involved, TRIAD, that they will be postponing the event. ASID does not have further details at this time as to the reason for the show’s unspecified delay and a rescheduled date and location has not been given.

ASID will distribute updated information as it becomes available, however we do know that the event will not move forward as currently scheduled.

“I am disappointed to see IntersectWest postponed and we apologize for the inconvenience felt by the exhibitors, attendees and everyone involved. We would have liked to see this conference happen next month,” says ASID Executive Director Michael Alin, Hon. FASID. “ASID does, however, have a busy conference line-up for 2008 and we are pleased to offer other educational programming at a variety of venues such as INTERIORS 08, HD Expo and NeoCon.”

Exhibitors and industry professionals that planned to participate in IntersectWest or have already registered should contact Triad Expositions for more information.
