Parker's Alley Cafe
Parker’s Alley Café: The design directive was to create an elegant yet casual deli for business professional working in Downtown Stockton. The owner showed me a china plate from Villory & Bock – “French Garden” as inspiration. The challenge was the owner had unsuccessfully tried to start the renovation himself, so we had to incorporate existing materials into the design. The branding was also important and we played off the intersecting alley way – Parker’s Alley. Taking our cues from the existing sand color ceramic tiles and the floral French motive of the chinaware, we selected two neutral colors - taupe and grey and one bright color - citrine. This triad of colors is soothing with a perk of amusement. Custom shelving adorned with clusters of French Press Coffee pots bring in a hint of the French motif.
