ASID at ICFF
Education, Networking, and Opportunities for All
At ICFF in June 2016, ASID presented the inaugural ELEVATE - The Education Forum Presented by ASID six educational sessions to more than 150 attendees. Session topics ranged from best business practices to the impact of design on the human experience and provided designers and architects with inspiration and knowledge to put into practice immediately.
ASID also hosted students and recent graduates from around the country at ACTIVATE - The Student Experience Presented by ASID. The Student Roadmap showed attendees how to navigate a trade show through a curated tour of ASID National Industry Partner booths guided by professional designers. Students then took part in the ASID Career Exchange, building their network and receiving one-on-one feedback on their resume and portfolio from ASID professional members, educators, and design firms.
165,000 square feet encompassing two levels of the Javits Center will bring together a global representation of more than 32,000 interior designers, architects, retailers, representatives, distributors, facility managers, developers, manufacturers, store designers, and visual merchandisers. On Tuesday, May 19, ICFF opens its doors to the general public.
More than 700 exhibitors from all points of the globe will display a selection of the world’s finest, most innovative, and original avant-garde home and contract products side-by-side, under one roof. Exhibitors include contemporary furniture, seating, carpet and flooring, lighting, outdoor furniture, materials, wall coverings, accessories, textiles, and kitchen and bath for residential and commercial interiors.
