Join ASID and Jack Kleinhenz, Ph.D. for a live webinar that will provide insight on the current business conditions for the overall economy and the interior design industry as determined by the ASID Interior Design Billings Index (IDBI) 4th Quarter 2020 report – including a year-end review of 2020 and a look forward into 2021. The IDBI is produced by ASID Research & Knowledge in partnership with Jack Kleinhenz, Ph.D., and Russ Smith, Ph.D., both of Kleinhenz & Associates.
The index is compiled from a monthly ASID survey of 200 geographically diverse firms that primarily offer interior design services, or offer interior design services as part of architectural, engineering, and other related practices. Practitioner perspectives on current and future business conditions for the interior design industry are a helpful indicator of changes in the direction of economic activity. The ASID indices are centered on 50 percent: a score above 50 indicates industry expansion, while a score below 50 denotes contraction.
The ASID IDBI is reported monthly, with more detailed statistics reported quarterly. The monthly and quarterly reports may be viewed on the ASID resource page.
