The spring 2017 call for content is now closed, but don’t worry – we’ll ask again. Our submission process is semi-annual. Until then, review all the requirements and keep those wheels turning. And be ready for the second call later this year.
Remember, we’re looking for courses that take a practical, experiential approach, providing concrete tools and techniques that designers can immediately put to use. Our focus is to source content for our online learning platform, the ASID Academy.
We are especially interested in proposals for on-demand (asynchronous, not instructor-led) content to be available online through the ASID Academy, the online learning destination for the interior design industry.
We would consider proposals for in-person sessions to be presented in combination with an online component in a blended learning format (e.g. participants complete an online tutorial ahead of time as an introduction to more advanced, hands-on content to be presented in person).
You can still submit a proposal even if you’re not online—all good ideas are welcome! ASID education experts will work with you to adapt your content to this format.
Presentations do NOT need to be pre-approved by IDCEC (Interior Design Continuing Education Council) to be considered. ASID will submit any courses selected that do not already have individual, non-expired IDCEC numbers to IDCEC for approval. Once approved, each course will receive an individual IDCEC course number to use on the ASID Academy only.
All completed submissions will be peer reviewed by ASID staff and volunteers for content, quality, and applicability to target audiences.
