Our challenge was to breathe new life - light, color, excitement - into a tired, 1980's style condo.
Our concept was to use light reflecting materials and boldly colored contemporary furnishings and art to create a home that would be both exciting and comfortable.
We began with surface changes throughout the home.
Gleaming slabs of 16" X 24" black ash slate and a rich pewter wool carpet were installed on the stairs and the floor. Custom colored tile was used in the living room to reference the colors found in our client's extensive collection of mid-century modern pottery. Benjamin Moore's "Brushed Aluminum" was used throughout to provide a light, bright, but neutral background on which to display our client's collection of contemporary art.
We finished with a smashing collection of high-end, custom-made, contemporary Italian furniture from Bella Home.
