A Naples, Florida native, Julie Oswald, ASID, NCIDQ graduated Cum Laude from the University of Florida in 2005 with a BA Degree in design. While enrolled at UF, Ms. Oswald assisted the Interior Design Department in gaining FIDER reaccreditation. She also studied abroad in Vicenza, Italy, a city that is regarded as the “center of all architecture.” In her travels, she became immersed in Europe’s architecture, history and culture, all of which furthered her love of design. One of her favorite things to do is to travel and explore new places and to experience various architectural and design styles, cultures, lifestyles, landscapes and cuisine. Ms. Oswald gained significant industry experience in both commercial and residential design while working for Robb & Stucky Interiors and Boughton Architects, Inc., a firm that was ultimately acquired by Fletcher Thompson Architectural Engineering. She passed the National Council for Interior Design Qualification (NCIDQ) examination in 2009 and is a Professional Member of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) and International Interior Design Association (IIDA). She joined KVS Interior Design in June, 2011 as an Interior Design Assistant and immediately flourished in the firm’s lively, fast-paced atmosphere. Ms. Oswald is involved with every facet of the company’s projects, from implementing computer-aided design drawings, to selecting the finest furnishings and ultimately installing the final touches in a client’s home. She also manages the construction library, contractors and vendors who work with KVS Interior Design.

Our fee structure is determined by the scope of the project. During the construction phase of a project, we charge an hourly fee for construction specifications, builder meetings, construction site visits and CAD drafting. During the Interior furnishing phase, our method of compensation is different. Typically, we select the items with the client and submit everything on a proposal for approval. These items may include furniture (upholstery & casegoods), window treatments, privacy treatments, bedding ensembles, wallpaper, faux finishing, lighting and accessories.
