Interior Design Program Director

The University of Texas at Austin

Tamie Glass is an associate professor and the director of the Interior Design program at the University of Texas at Austin. Her professional career led her to Germany where she worked for Daimler Corporate Design, followed by practice in London with internationally renowned design firms Virgile and Stone and Conran & Partners. In addition to teaching, Tamie maintains an award-winning firm in Austin and is currently serving as visiting creative director at the Blanton Museum of Art. Tamie’s synergetic approach to teaching and professional practice addresses her interests in environmental branding and identity, materials and detailing, and design issues related to human behavior.

Junior Designer, IA Interior Architects 

Michael Bent is a junior designer at IA Interior Architects, where he is currently working with a range of tech clients to promote productivity in the workplace while enhancing company culture, talent attraction, and talent retention. Michael attended Colorado State University where he received his Bachelor of Science in Interior Design degree with intensive studies in Graphic Design. He is currently involved with the IIDA NY Industry Committee, serves on the ASID National Engagement Advisory Council, and is chair of the ASID National Student Program Development Committee.
