Andrea Magno, Allied ASID
Director, Color Marketing & Development, Benjamin Moore

Andrea Magno is the director of Color Marketing & Development for Benjamin Moore, North America’s favorite paint, color and coatings brand. As part of the Benjamin Moore Color Studio, Andrea plays an integral role in the development of color tools and color and design research that further positions Benjamin Moore as a color and product leader for both professionals and consumers.

During her tenure at Benjamin Moore, Andrea has been intimately involved in various aspects of color, interior design, and the paint industry. She has played an integral role in the development and advancement of designer and architect-focused events, educational programs, and trend research. Andrea serves as a reference on color and design inspiration for a variety of publications, including Apartment Therapy, Better Homes, Chicago Tribune, Country Living, Durability & Design, Family Circle, HGTV Magazine, Refinery29, Real Simple, The Wall Street Journal, USA Today and more.

Andrea began her career at Christie’s Auction house in the European Furniture Department and later was part of numerous high-end residential design projects while working at Ingrao, Inc. in New York City. She graduated from Lafayette College with a B.A. in Art History and English, and earned a degree in Interior Design with high distinction from the New York School of Interior Design. Andrea also earned her MBA at the University of Scranton. She is an Allied member of ASID and an industry member of IIDA.

Cindi Kato, RDI, PAVE

As a 35-year veteran of the design industry, Cindi has designed and managed retail, hospitality, restaurant, healthcare, workplace, and banking projects across the United States and globally. At CallisonRTKL she is a Principal in the Retail Practice and is Director of Global Retail Business Development. Cindi collaborates with the other practice areas and offices within the firm. She currently serves as President of the Planning and Visual Education Partnership (PAVE), is an Advisory Board Member for Visual Merchandising at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising (FIDM), is a Design Advisory Board Member with DesignRetail Magazine, an active member of the Retail Design Institute (RDI), active member in the Shop! Women’s League, Former Board Member of Shop! and Board Emeritus for Washington State University’s Department of Interior Design + Construction.

Megan Hochman, ASID, NCIDQ
Director of Interiors, DC Senior Associate Chambers

Megan Hochman joined Chambers with a richly diverse background in luxury hospitality, multi-residential and residential design. Megan began her career in London at Christina Fallah Designs where she designed luxury private residences and notable projects such as the historic Shelbourne Dublin—a five-star hotel in Ireland. Since returning to the United States, Megan has worked for several groundbreaking hospitality and residential design firms, including ForrestPerkins, RD Jones & Associates and Mona Hajj Interiors.

In addition to infusing a culturally rich perspective into design efforts, Megan offers a natural balance of creativity, analysis and technical knowledge to bring client visions to fruition. She leads the firm’s Washington, DC office and is responsible for overseeing the design studio. Megan was a past president of the American Society of Interior Designers Washington Metro Chapter and continues to pay it forward with her involvement in the design industry.

A design chameleon, Sequoyah Hunter-Cuyjet has the unique ability to tap into the heart of a community and give people a voice through design. With her diverse art and culturally-rich background as well as her multidisciplinary design experience, she is a versatile person who can help partners address any project challenge.  

Sequoyah has a Bachelor of Art in Liberal Arts from Sarah Lawrence College—where she studied art, literature and anthropology—as well as a Master of Fine Arts in Interior Design from Moore College of Art + Design. Boutique Magazine recognized her as a 2020 Boutique 18—a rising star in hospitality design.  

She is an agent of change who is passionate about advocacy and providing quality design for underrepresented communities. Sequoyah’s design process balances the beauty of art and materiality with functional solutions. She is passionate about championing diversity within the design profession and providing all people access to interior design through design equity. Sequoyah is determined to design for real people with real world problems and uplift them through elevated spaces.

Santiago Rivera
NE Regional Foundations, Associations & Organizations Leader, Gensler

Santiago has been an integral member of the teams behind education, not-for-proft, workplace, and hospitality projects in Gensler New York. He co-leads New York’s Community Impact team (Gensler’s volunteer group), is a frmwide leader for ECC 2.0 (the next generation of leaders for the Education practice area), and is regional leader for the Foundations, Associations and Organizations practice area. He leads pro-bono projects, works on research initiatives and has moderated panel discussions and round tables. In 2015, Santiago served as cultural ambassador to the new Gensler Office in Mexico City where he oversaw the development of the office culture. Working with Change for Kids, Santiago helps fundraise and provide opportunities to over 5,000 students in the NYC public school system. He is a former board member in Build Out Alliance, an organization seeking to promote and advocates for LGBTQ people serving openly and with pride in the building design and construction industry.

Elizabeth Von Lehe, Allied ASID

Elizabeth Von Lehe is the design & brand strategy principal at HDR. A seasoned design leader with professional experience across multiple industries, she leads the architecture firm’s efforts to advance a holistic approach to design, embracing not only the built form, but branding, curation and the development of user experience from every angle.

Von Lehe previously worked at ICRAVE Design, where she served as director of strategy, brand and architectural design for more than seven years. Before that, she worked in design for both Target and Lands’ End. Her experience includes developing product collections for both fashion and furniture industries as well as guiding master plans and interior design concepts.

Based in New York, New York, Von Lehe is well known throughout the design professions as a leader in the field of experience design. She is a regular keynote and workshop speaker at the national and chapter levels for the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) and the International Interior Design Association (IIDA), advocating for experience design to encourage cross-disciplinary collaboration and integration beyond what most designers usually practice.

Von Lehe currently serves as a Director on the national board of ASID, and is a regular graduate mentor and panelist for her alma mater, Columbia University. Her work has been featured in several industry publications and she has been interviewed by national outlets such as Bloomberg and NPR.

David Taglione

David serves as creative director at ICRAVE and has been a part of the ICRAVE team since 2005. Focusing on leading ICRAVE into new sectors of work, David has directed several large-scale projects including La Guardia Airport, Minneapolis St-Paul Airport, Le District, MSK's Josie Robertson Surgical Center, and MSK's David H. Koch Center for Cancer Care.  He has been a forefront of thought leadership working across sectors influencing thinking around the passenger experience, reinventing cancer care, visioning for the future of retail, and building the next evolution of the food hall.

Brent Carpon, AIA

Brent has always been keenly aware of his surroundings. Even before he knew there was a word for it, he wanted to have a hand in creating, shaping, understanding, representing, and interacting with physical space.

Born and raised in Colorado, the intensity of the natural environment has impacted Brent’s approach to design. He is drawn to spaces that, like nature, have a temporal quality—changing and modifying over time.

In 2000, Susan and Joey Shimoda founded Shimoda Design Group at a live/work warehouse in the burgeoning Arts District of downtown Los Angeles. Susan Chang AIA, ASID + Joey Shimoda, AIA

Ninety percent of Susan and Joey’s projects have been created within existing structures. They are known for projects that re-envision existing structures that create long lasting impact to the betterment of the human experience. They believe that architecture does not have to be new to be beautiful, sustainable, or meaningful – architecture is revealed through many lenses. They embrace client and context, but their goal is to create something special. They believe a framework of research, responsibility, restoration, and innovation become the foundation of a visionary solution.  And this is the place where they create the alchemy that elevates the human experience.

Both Joey and Sue are active as jurors and lecturers for local and national chapters of the AIA, ASID, and IIDA. Joey has been an affordable housing commissioner in the city of Los Angeles and is frequent juror for the Los Angeles Metro artist integration and selection committees. In 2013, Contract magazine named Joey Shimoda Designer of the Year.
