Jessica McConnell serves as Digital Marketing Associate for ASID. She manages the ASID social media accounts and assists with other forms of digital marketing, including emails, the website and pay-per-click advertising.
Jessica studied business and marketing at the College of Charleston and graduated Summa Cum Laude with a B.A. in Business Administration in Spring 2008. Following graduation, she accepted a sales consultant position with a local, high-end home furnishings showroom in Charleston, SC. This is where she fell in love with interior design and first learned of ASID and the frequently-overlooked yet essential role design plays in our everyday lives. Her position at ASID allows her to combine her love of digital marketing with the Society’s mission to educate about the many ways design impacts lives.
Even when not working, Jessica can typically be found with at least one iPhone on her person. She lives for sunny days and trips to the beach and likes to surround herself with bright colors and vibrant prints from names like Lilly Pulitzer, Josef Frank and Anna Rifle Bond. She loves living in downtown DC (and any excuse to wear a ball gown) but the charm and architecture of Charleston cast a spell over her and she hopes to someday retire in a classic, antebellum period sideways house on the Charleston peninsula. As a collegian, Jessica took an active role in her sorority, Kappa Alpha Theta, and Theta’s sisterhood and dedication to philanthropy has continued to be an influential part of her life.
