Allied Membership Qualifications
Eligible individuals are practicing interior designers who have completed 40 semester or 60 quarter credit hours in interior design education from an accredited institution (university, college or technical school). Architects are also eligible upon completion of 40 semester/60-quarter hours of architectural education from an institution accredited by the appropriate regional or national institutional accrediting body.
Copy of college transcript and/or technical school records verifying course completion and credit hours is required. Continuing education coursework/hours do not count toward meeting the education requirement for membership.
The correct use of the ASID appellation supports the value of membership. All members agree to follow specific guidelines, including the use of the Society's name when identifying themselves to the public.
ASID requires practitioner members to complete 0.6 CEUs every two years to maintain their membership.
