Brandye Staton joined ASID HQ in early-January 2024 as the Member Engagement Associate on the Engagement and Brand Experience Team. From leading the annual Student Portfolio Competition and quarterly Student Leader Roundtables to curating content for The Inside SCOOP (monthly student & educator member newsletter) and planning/facilitating virtual and in-person events, Brandye’s role centers around the goal of actively involving student members. 

For 13+ years prior, Brandye worked remotely in both student and partner-facing roles for an online program management company in support of students, faculty, and staff at universities in Ohio, Kentucky, Illinois, and North Dakota. The focus of her work was on the development of engagement initiatives and retention strategies to ensure the successful operation of several established and newly launched online graduate programs, efforts that contributed to maintaining and increasing continuous student enrollment term-over-term, year-over-year.  

Brandye is originally from Biloxi, MS, on the Mississippi Gulf Coast, but has called Central Florida home for the past 20+ years. She moved to the area after college where she began her career in the hospitality industry at the Walt Disney World Resort, holding unforgettable roles in Magic Kingdom Guest Relations, Magic Kingdom Tours & VIP Tour Services, Disney University Training and Disney's Fairy Tale Weddings. 

Brandye currently lives northwest of Orlando in Apopka, FL, with her husband of 13 years, Chris, and almost 10-year-old son, Benjamin (Ben).
