Celebrating 50 Years with ASID Yearbook

Your Story...Our History

The American Society of Interior Designers is celebrating its 50th Anniversary, and we want you to be a part of this monumental event. We have partnered with Publishing Concepts (PCI) to create a Yearbook that will capture the essence of ASID's impact over the past 50 years. The beautiful ASID 50th Anniversary Yearbook will be a rich history of the association and our members' wonderful memories and stories. If you purchase the book, it will be available in hard copy and digitally. Purchase the hard copy book and bring it to GATHER 2025 for a Yearbook Signing Party.

PCI, with over 100 years of experience producing publications for esteemed organizations, has launched this initiative to update member contact information and collect and immortalize your personal stories and experiences with ASID. We don't want you to miss out on any of the 50th Anniversary celebration news, and we want the association to hear your story—how ASID has influenced and shaped your life, your favorite memories, and how it has contributed to your journey in the world of interior design.

How to Share Your Story

Members will receive a postcard and email from PCI with more information on how to share their stories. The stories will be collected via a phone call with a trained member of the PCI team. If you did not receive a postcard or email, you may contact PCI at 1(888)920-1768.

When you call PCI, you will be asked to update your contact information, give your ASID story, and have the option to purchase the book digitally, hardbound, or both. Before contacting PCI, consider a special story you want to share: a special experience, relationship, benefit, etc. If you need more time, you can always call the number back later.

Members are not required to purchase a book to include their story in the digital yearbook. However, if you do, your story is guaranteed to be in the hardbound book. Other stories will be added to the hardbound book pending space, but all stories will be included in the digital edition.

The book is a beautiful hardbound book with ASID's history and our member stories. If you purchase the hard copy book, be sure to bring it to GATHER 2025 for a Yearbook Signing Party.

Please contact yearbook@asid.org with any questions.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. I received an email/postcard/phone call from a company asking for my personal information and a story about American Society of Interior Designers. Tell me more about the project.

We have partnered with PCI (also known as Publishing Concepts) to produce an Oral History Publication for the American Society of Interior Designers. PCI is a family-owned business based in Dallas, TX, that has published directories for educational institutions, fraternities, sororities, and military organizations across the nation for over 100 years. And, while we have you on the phone, we want to make sure your contact information is up to date.
