A jury of ASID members selected by the National Board of Directors will review all nominations based on the eligibility requirements. Outstanding and exemplary service will be the benchmark and the jury will make every effort to maintain high standards and to objectivity in judging. After review, selected recipients will be submitted to the ASID National Board of Directors for approval. The ASID National Board of Directors is the only body that may bestow Lifetime Membership.
The number of Lifetime Awards bestowed in any given year shall not exceed one-tenth of one percent of the total number of professional members of the Society at the beginning of the effective calendar year.
Once the ASID Board of Directors approves a Lifetime Membership the candidates will be notified directly. In the event that a Lifetime Membership is not granted, the president of the nominee’s chapter will be notified.
When a member is granted Lifetime Membership, they will no longer pay dues beginning the first renewal year after the honor has been bestowed.
