Implications for a significant paradigm shift in the interior design profession have evolved as a result of COVID-19.
The role of the designer has become more critical, as the vast majority of recommended spatial and environmental modifications fall within or are related to interior designers’ scope of work. “Interior design context” reflects the protocols defined through research and evidence-based design solutions as appropriate and effective strategies for implementation. More importantly, it sets the stage for interior designers to lead the conversation of interdisciplinary collaboration.
