Caroline Herbert joined ASID as Senior Curator, Learning, in January, 2017. She leads the development, implementation, and ongoing review of education content and standards for in-person and online programs to engage ASID members and relevant audiences, curating content into curriculums for tiered levels of learning and development. She came to ASID from Foundation Center, where she served in multiple roles over her 18-year tenure. In her most recent position as Instructional Design Manager, she was responsible for designing, implementing, and delivering training programs online, and was a lead facilitator for the Center’s Proposal Writing Boot Camp. She’s committed to creating engaging learning experiences to help professionals at all career stages be more effective in their work.
Caroline holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan and a Master’s degree in Library Science from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. She is a member of the eLearning Guild and the Association for Talent Development (ATD), and has completed ATD’s E-Learning Instructional Design Certificate Course. Outside of work, you can often find her out running, trying out a new recipe in the kitchen, or reading a book. She lives in Rockville, MD, with her husband and two cats.
