David brings a passionate curiosity to his work, focused on the interrelationships between culture, technology and design. As a human-centered design advocate, he approaches design by first gaining understanding of the context, culture, and aspirations of those he serves. David earned a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design from the University of Texas at Austin, and a Master of Architecture degree from The Ohio State University. He has served on the ASID National Board of Directors since 2020, and served as Chair in 2025, the organization's 50th anniversary. As an interior design practitioner, David’s work weaves cultural narratives into authentic, relevant spaces for a wide range of projects in his hometown of Houston, Texas, and around the world.
