Shundra Harris is a recognized interior designer, educator, and design advocate whose multifaceted career spans design, engineering, mentorship, and leadership. As CEO and Principal Designer of Shundra Harris Interiors (SHI), she leads a full-service firm in Texas offering intelligent, client-centered solutions across residential, commercial, new construction, and renovation projects. 

With degrees in Computer Science & Engineering and Interior Design, Shundra combines technical precision with creative vision. Her engineering background informs her knowledge of building systems, while her design expertise ensures functional, stunning, and emotionally supportive environments. She believes great design supports wellness, empowerment, and quality of life. 

An active member of ASID since 2007, Shundra has served on over 15 committees, including as President of the ASID Texas Gulf Coast Chapter and as Chair of the Chapter Support Team. She currently serves as a Director at Large on the ASID National Board. Her national work also includes contributions to the ASID Foundation and diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives. 

 Shundra’s advocacy extends to the Texas Association for Interior Design (TAID), where she has held several board positions, including President. She also supports the profession through service as a CIDA Site Visitor and NCIDQ Item Writer, shaping education and credentialing standards. 

 Teaching is at the core of Shundra’s personal mission. She has served as an Adjunct Professor at Prairie View A&M University School of Architecture and continues to support the next generation of designers through mentorship, speaking engagements, and participation as a juror in design competitions. Through Seminars by Design, she also delivers CEUs focused on health, wellness, equity, and human-centered design. 

 Shundra is a servant leader dedicated to education, advocacy, and designing with integrity—transforming spaces and lives through meaningful, inclusive design.
