By 2030, one in five people in the U.S. will be age 65 or over, and most houses and apartments are designed for able-bodied adults and don’t necessarily meet the needs of older people or those with disabilities. We will discuss all the ways in which Aging-In-Place can be beneficial to those wanting to stay put, while discussing preparations for general residential design.

  • Understand the benefits of Aging-In-Place and the factors to their health, safety, and welfare
  • Review the preparations needed to Age-In-Place, along with identifying health and safety concerns of the built environment
