The American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) is pleased to once again be a part of NeoCon, the largest design exposition for commercial interiors. We hope you’ll join us for the special activities we have planned for you, starting with the annual NeoCon luncheon on Monday, sponsored by the ASID Illinois Chapter. Tuesday morning brings the ASID keynote address, designed to inspire you with research-based ideas about creativity and intelligence that have implications for design in the workplace, the classroom, and beyond. On Wednesday morning, you can mingle with design colleagues, meet rising students, and network with industry partners at the ASID Career Exchange.

ASID Illinois Chapter members invite you to their much-anticipated annual luncheon to kick off NeoCon. ASID Interior Design 2015-16 Outlook and State of the Industry News Conference

ASID CEO Randy Fiser and David Krantz, ASID vice president of Research and Knowledge Management will present a comprehensive overview of the state of the interior design inductry as part of the ASID Interior Design 2015/2016 Outlook and State of the Industry press conference.

Jason Silva is the Emmy-nominated host of National Geographic Channel’s #1 rated and Emmy-nominated series, Brain Games, seen in over 100 countries. He is the creator of “Shots of Awe,” a short film series of “trailers for the mind” that serve as philosophical espresso shots exploring innovation, technology, creativity, futurism and the metaphysics of the imagination. “Shots of Awe” have received more than 13 million views. Jason also created the web series “Future of Us” for AOL, exploring exponential technology and the future of humanity. From 2005 to 2011, Venezuela-born Silva was a presenter on Current TV, the Emmy-winning, independent cable network started by former U.S. Vice President Al Gore, where he hosted, wrote and produced more than 100 hours of original content. An active and prolific global speaker, Jason has spoken at TEDGlobal and Google’s Zeitgeist Conference and keynoted multiple events for Microsoft, IBM and Adobe.

Exclusively for ASID student members, experience a curated tour of NeoCon with professional designers who will help you navigate the trade show. Students will meet with tour leaders and be guided to pick up badges, navigate the show floor, and meet with exhibitors. Space is limited.

Explore your next career step at the ASID Career Exchange. Students and recent graduates will connect with design professionals and industry representatives for one-on-one networking opportunities. Within 90 minutes, participants will engage in multiple ten minute conversations with reviewers to learn about the interior design profession, or to receive a resume or portfolio critique.
