AMERICAN SOCIETY OF INTERIOR DESIGNERS WELCOMES 2025/2026 BOARD OF DIRECTORS

(June 5, 2025 – Washington, D.C.)– The American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) has announced its 2025/2026 national board of directors, effective Oct. 1, 2025. The members of the board represent all sectors of the interior design profession, as well as ASID Fellows and members of the Society’s affiliate membership category.

The national board will consist of 12 members: three officers (chair, incoming chair, and past chair), nine at-large directors—including two industry partner representatives. Elizabeth Von Lehe, NCIDQ, ASID, will serve as chair of ASID’s 2025–2026 national board.

“ASID’s national board exemplifies the diverse talent and perspectives that fuel the Society’s progress and deepen our influence across the design profession,” said Khoi Vo, chief executive officer. “As we welcome these exceptional leaders—both new and returning—we’re energized by the depth of experience they bring to advancing ASID’s strategic vision, and we are confident their contributions will resonate throughout the Society and the design world at large.”

As the governing body of the Society, the national board of directors is responsible for leading and representing ASID and its members by advising on, administering, and implementing organizational policies. The board is committed to advancing the profession through a positive, forward-thinking lens, while recognizing the impact of social, technological, economic, and environmental influences on the practice of design.

Von Lehe will take over as the 2025 Board Chair, and Harris will govern as the 2025 Board Chair-Elect for ASID.

Elizabeth Von Lehe currently serves as principal and senior interior design leader at CannonDesign and leads teams and projects internationally. Von Lehe is an award-winning design leader with professional experience across multiple industries who champions a holistic approach to design, embracing not only the built form, but branding, curation and the development of user experience from every angle. As an active member of ASID, she has served on the National Board of Directors, supported student mentorship initiatives, and served on a variety of volunteer committees. Von Lehe also serves as a regular graduate mentor and panelist for her alma mater, Columbia University, and is an adjunct professor for a special studio course with the Institute Paul Bocuse in Lyon, France.

Shundra Harris is an interior designer, educator, and advocate with a background in computer science and engineering and interior design. As CEO of Shundra Harris Interiors, she leads a Texas-based firm delivering client-centered solutions across residential and commercial products. Blending technical expertise with creative vision, she designs environments that support wellness and empowerment. An ASID member since 2007, Harris has served on over 15 committees, including as president of the Texas Gulf Coast Chapter and chair of the Chapter Support Team. She currently serves as a director-at-large on the National Board and has contributed to the ASID Foundation and various diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives.

ASID’S NEW BOARD MEMBERS

Joni Burden founded her interior design firm over 37 years ago and has since grown it into the internationally recognized J. Banks Design, based in Hilton Head Island. Known for "luxury without pretense," the firm blends resort living with residential style across a global portfolio. Under Burden’s direction, J. Banks Design has earned significant accolades, including multiple ASID Designer of the Year honors and a Gold Key Award for its work at Castello di Casole in Tuscany. The firm is ranked in the top 100 Design Giants by Interior Design Magazine. Burden’s designs have been featured in Southern Living, Robb Report, Hospitality Design and more. Her love of travel inspires her product lines with EJ Victor, Kravet Inc., Gabby and others.

Dina Lamanna is a principal and director of HOK New York’s Hospitality Interior Design Studio, with a portfolio spanning 4.2 million square feet and 12 global design awards. She has worked with elite hospitality brands such as Four Seasons and Hilton, and contributed to high-profile projects such as the 2009 Oscars Theater set design and The Walt Disney Family Museum. Her design mantra, "Thoughtfulness never goes out of style,” guides her storytelling-driven work. Post-pandemic, her influence has expanded across HOK—earning her the title of in-house Hospitality “Guru”, contributing to diverse sectors from aviation to healthcare. Recent projects include NYC Football Club’s all-electric stadium inspired by the city’s five boroughs. Lamanna is a dedicated mentor to over 200 students and has taught through SCAD, NYSID, and professional design organizations. Her career reflects a belief in joyful, purposeful design.

Kristie Nicoloff is an interior designer with 29 years of experience, including 24 years specializing in healthcare design. As operations and finance manager and associate principal at LS3P Associates, LTD, she oversees workflow and profitability, mentors design teams, recruits future talent and standardizes processes across offices. Nicoloff has served in numerous ASID leadership roles, including co-chair of the Impact Review Task Force and chair of the Trends and Futures Committee. Her advocacy extends to IIDA, Women in Healthcare - Carolinas, and the SC Interior Design Coalition. A graduate of Northern Illinois University and NCIDQ Certified, Nicoloff frequently lectures and presents at design industry events, bringing strategic insight and a strong voice for the future of the profession.

Jennifer Nye is the chief marketing and creative officer at Momentum Textiles & Wallcovering, where she leads a 40-person team and drives innovation, sustainability and digital transformation.  Her career spans over 15 years with brands like Kohler and ANN SACKS. An ASID supporter for more than a decade, Nye champions inclusivity, education, and human-centered design. She serves on the NeoCon Advisory Board and has been recognized through honors like Interior Design’s HiP Leader Award, PR’s Most Influential List, and Wallpaper’s USA 400. Nye’s work includes contributing to ASID’s Connectivity & Inclusivity whitepaper and public art initiatives like Art on the Mart. Nye exemplifies design leadership that connects, transforms, and inspires.

ASID’S RETURNING BOARD MEMBERS

David Euscher is an award-winning designer, a lecturer at various universities and a member of the Houston Community College Advisory Board for the Interior Design program. Euscher currently works at Corgan’s Houston office as the vice president and interior design studio leader. With nearly 30 years of experience, Euscher has designed and led interior design projects for a multitude of sectors and approaches each with a desire to improve the well-being of the people served by the space. He achieves this by learning everything he can about the client, their context, culture and aspirations. Listening and engaging has led Euscher to exceptional results in developing workspaces, even when navigating certain challenges.

Margi Kaminski is co-director of CannonDesign’s health interiors practice, where she drives business strategy and client engagement for major healthcare systems like Kaiser Permanente, Northwestern Medicine and Penn State Health. With over 30 years of experience, she integrates aesthetics with operational efficiency, bringing a certified Lean Green Belt approach to designing healing environments. Kaminski is passionate about creating spaces that promote health and well-being through empathy and innovation. A frequent speaker at healthcare design conferences, she has received awards from ASID, Contract Magazine and The Chicago Athenaeum. In 2019, she was honored as ASID Illinois’ “Member of Distinction” and remains active in student mentorship nationwide.

Ruju Jasani is the founder of Jasani Studio. The San Francisco-based creative practice uses interior and architectural design to connect place and people. Jasani brings more than two decades of global design and implementation expertise across sector and scale. Her projects in the United States, India and Mexico have earned awards from design: retail, VMSD and IIDA. Jasani serves as the national co-chairperson for the ASID Committee on Adaptive Living (CoAL). She is a writer and a speaker. Jasani has a Bachelor of Fine Arts in interior architecture from the Academy of Art University and a bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Mumbai. She is a professional member of ASID, ICSC, IIDA, AIA and SEED.

Caroline Gama is an interior design graduate from the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and is currently principal of Caroline Gama Design, Inc., established in 1999. Gama began her ASID volunteer journey as an active student chapter member in 1992, moving on to serve on ASID’s National Student Council. She was awarded numerous scholarships, all in part attributed to her ASID student volunteerism and academic achievements. She held appointed and elected positions as Communications Director, Professional Development Director, President-elect, and finally, President for the Florida South Chapter. Over the years, Gama has made time to offer her expertise and financial resources to organizations such as Gilda’s Club of South Florida, His Caring Place and Calvary Chapel of Fort Lauderdale and Native Relief Foundation, Inc.

Kendra Ordia is an assistant professor of interior design in the College of Architecture at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. She has focused on healthcare and workplace design throughout her career at top design firms like Perkins&Will, Gensler and CallisonRTKL. Her teaching and research explore human behavior and the built environment expressed in themes of biophilic design, health and wellbeing, environmental quality and spatial ecologies. In 2020, she was recognized as an ASID’s Ones to Watch scholar. In 2023, she was awarded the Interior Design Educator Council Teaching Excellence Award, and in 2024, she was recognized as the ASID Educator of the Year. As an NCIDQ-certified designer, she is actively involved in Interior Design licensing advocacy in the state and Nebraska.

Lauren Corbin joined Benjamin Moore in Fall 2021 as the senior manager of the architect & design segment. In this newly created role, Corbin will develop innovative and strategic programs with the architecture and design community and represent the Benjamin Moore brand across high-level industry events and organizations. Before her appointment at Benjamin Moore, Corbin had been the associate director of brand partnerships and development for the Hearst Design Collection: ELLE Decor, House Beautiful and VERANDA since 2016, creating strategic programs, custom events and multi-channel marketing opportunities with the design community. Corbin developed and produced noteworthy initiatives including: Design Unites, Design U., Obsidian Virtual Concept House and ELLE Decor’s Not for Sale, among many others. Before this, Corbin was the international fashion coordinator at Harper’s BAZAAR, where she managed and executed sales and marketing activations for all luxury fashion, jewelry and watch accounts.
