ASID ONES TO WATCH SPOTLIGHTS 2025’S EMERGING INTERIOR DESIGN LEADERS

(July 17, 2025 – Washington, D.C.) – The American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) has announced the 2025 winners and scholars of its renowned Ones to Watch initiative, a program dedicated to advancing rising interior design professionals from historically underrepresented populations. The initiative recognizes the impactful careers of practitioners from underrepresented populations. The initiative celebrates design leaders whose careers exemplify excellence, influence, and the future of the profession. The 2025 Ones to Watch award winners and scholars will be recognized during GATHER 2025, at the ASID Networking Lunch: Building Community Through Design, on August 18.

“ASID’s Ones to Watch program reinforces our commitment to inclusion, equity and representation across all levels of the design community,” said Khoi Vo, chief executive officer, ASID. “Interior design is a universal practice that impacts every community. This initiative uplifts emerging leaders from diverse backgrounds and proves critical resources, visibility, and connections to help them thrive. We’re honored to support these professionals as they shape the future of design.”

Established in 2017, Ones to Watch identifies emerging leaders in the interior design profession who demonstrate exceptional leadership potential and a commitment to advancing the profession. The program focuses on individuals whose backgrounds are historically underrepresented in leadership roles, including women, members of racial and ethnic minority groups, LGBTQ+ individuals, and persons with disabilities. Up to 20 awardees are selected annually, with eight receiving additional distinction as Ones to Watch Scholars, gaining access to an intensive two-year leadership development program.

Through the initiative, Ones to Watch winners and scholars gain access to exclusive leadership development opportunities, connections with top industry professionals, national recognition, and increased visibility within ASID’s programs and the broader design community. Scholars benefit from executive coaching, curated networking experiences, skill-building workshops, and thought leadership opportunities that position them to mentor the next generation of designers.
