ASID Mourns the Passing of Gail Hayes Adams, FASID 

The American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) mourns the passing of Gail Hayes Adams, FASID. Remembered as a passionate, lifelong supporter of the arts, Adams studied fine arts at Arizona State University and later formed Gail Adams Interiors, Ltd. which she owned for over 40 years. Adams supported the Arizona arts community through service to the Phoenix Art Museum, the Arizona Theatre Company, Diffa Greater Phoenix, and the Phoenix Shanti Housing Foundation. Adams was a dedicated supporter of the interior design community through her roles as national treasurer of the National Council on Interior Design Qualification, national president of ASID in 1985, and vice president of the Rocky Mountain Region 1981-1982, and past president of the Arizona North Chapter of ASID. She served as an advisor for design programs at the University of California, San Diego, and Scottsdale Community College. Adams is survived by her husband of 46 years, Jay M. Goodfarb. ASID celebrates the life and service of Gail Hayes Adams and sends condolences to all those whose lives she touched.
