SCALE: The ASID National Student Summit took place in the city that never sleeps - New York - March 1-3, 2019. Attracting more than 400 students from 84 colleges and universities across the country, SCALE explored relevant, timely topics in design and included experiences created to ready students for their first professional positions.
A world-class group of speakers, led by keynotes Liz Ogbu, founder and principal, Studio O; George Yabu and Glenn Pushelberg, partners, Yabu Pushelberg; Cindy Allen, editor-in-chief, Interior Design Magazine; and BJ Miller, founder and principal, The Vision Group, inspired and encouraged students to advance in their careers by providing a meaningful perspective and understanding of the hopes and fears of the next generation of design professionals.
The day before SCALE began, ASID Student Portfolio Competition (SPC) finalists presented their work to an esteemed panel of judges from Benjamin Moore, HDR, HKS, HOK, ICRAVE, Perkins+Will, Rockwell Group, and O+A, who were tasked with choosing the winners.
