Caroline Gama, ASID Allied | Director at-Large

Caroline P. Gama, ASID Allied, CAPS, and Green AP, is the Principal of Caroline Gama Design, Inc., with over 25 years of experience serving a highly private, luxury clientele across the United States. Her practice is built almost entirely through referrals and long-standing relationships, reflecting a reputation for trust, discretion, and thoughtful design. 

Born in Tanzania, East Africa, Caroline spent much of her childhood traveling and living abroad while her parents served with international government organizations. These global experiences cultivated in her a deep appreciation for multiculturalism, global perspectives, and inclusive collaboration—values that continue to shape both her professional and volunteer leadership. 

A graduate of the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Caroline specializes in residential interior design and construction projects, working closely with architects, engineers, and general contractors to create environments that reflect her clients’ lifestyles and aspirations. Her work is grounded in thoughtful design, teamwork, and a commitment to excellence. 

Caroline’s journey with ASID began in 1992 as an active student chapter member and later as a representative of ASID’s National Student Council. Her leadership, volunteerism, and academic accomplishments earned her multiple scholarships during her studies. In gratitude for the mentorship and opportunities ASID provided, she returned to volunteer leadership in 2017, serving the Florida South Chapter as Communications Director, Professional Development Director, President-Elect, and ultimately Chapter President through FY23. She also completed her first elected term as an At-Large Director on the ASID National Board of Directors, serving FY24–FY26. 

Beyond the design industry, Caroline is dedicated to community service and philanthropy. Her life mantra remains: “To whom much is given, much is expected.”
