Joni Burden founded her interior design firm over 37 years ago and has since grown it into the internationally recognized J. Banks Design, based in Hilton Head Island. Known for "luxury without pretense," the firm blends resort living with residential style across a global portfolio. 

Under Joni’s direction, J. Banks Design has earned significant accolades, including multiple ASID Designer of the Year honors and a Gold Key Award for its work at Castello di Casole in Tuscany. The firm is ranked in the top 100 Design Giants by Interior Design Magazine. 

Joni’s designs have been featured in Southern Living, Robb Report, Hospitality Design and more. Her love of travel inspires her product lines with EJ Victor, Kravet Inc., Gabby, and others. 

Beyond design, Joni is passionate about family and philanthropy, most notably through the Valentine Project, supporting orphans in Tanzania.
